I am pleased to announce that a paper authored by Mr. Shibata, a graduate student at our university under the supervision of Professor Maeda, has been accepted for publication. My name is also listed as a co-author. Mouse Model of Anti-Obesity Effects of Blautia hansenii on Diet-Induced Obesity The content discusses the observation that individuals with high visceral fat tend to have lower levels of Blautia hansenii in their intestines. Since Blautia is an obligate anaerobic bacterium, it is difficult to ingest it alive. Before the summer holidays, we had a barbecue. This summer, due to the Foehn phenomenon, the Tohoku region experienced record-breaking heat on the Sea of Japan side, but it was an enjoyable time.

The Hirosaki University Open Campus for the year Reiwa 5 was held successfully. In my laboratory, we conducted an experimental activity titled “Let’s see how we can solidify milk!” We were pleased to welcome a large number of visitors despite the hot weather. Thank you very much for attending.
