These posts are all short (<180 words) introductions\/reviews of books in the EL library. They focus on telling you what we think will be interesting for you, a college student and English learner, so use them to help you find the right book for you. You can also use the <\/em>tags<em> to find books about topics you might be interested in.]<\/em><\/p>\n<p>_______<\/p>\n<p>These three books are easy-to-read introductions to the planets, earthquakes, and volcanoes. Yes, they are \u201cfor kids,\u201d but they are well written and teach a lot of good vocabulary.<\/p>\n<p>One of my learning philosophies is that \u201cit is easier to learn what you already know.\u201d These books teach science for children, so you probably already know most of the facts inside. But that\u2019s a good thing! If you already know a lot about the topic, then reading should be much easier. Also, it is a good way to improve your English vocabulary by learning concepts you already know in Japanese in a new language.<\/p>\n<p><strong>My two cents: <\/strong>If your teacher wants you to do extensive reading (\u591a\u8aad) but you don\u2019t like fiction, try one of these books.<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"detail__media__img-highres js-detail-img js-detail-img-high\" src=\"https:\/\/external-content.duckduckgo.com\/iu\/?u=https%3A%2F%2Fi.pinimg.com%2Foriginals%2F43%2F67%2F82%2F4367821ffbd3504dde68a94e470f24f2.jpg&#038;f=1&#038;nofb=1\" alt=\"Time For Kids: Volcanoes!
