ブライアン・バーゼルは、教養教育開発実践センターの准教授・研究員です。英国のバーミンガム大学で応用言語学の博士号を取得。また、マサチューセッツ大学ボストンで応用言語学の修士号を、コロラドカレッジで比較宗教学の学士号を取得しています。彼の研究は、L1とL2の両方における創造性と比喩的能力に広く焦点を当てています。現在は、外国語教室でのマルチモーダルなメタファーについてのプロジェクトに取り組んでいる。また、身体化された認知や、行動と言語学習の相互作用についても研究している。
